History

Cabarita Beach Surf Life Saving Club

Cabarita Beach Surf Life Saving Club was formed in 1961 from an original membership of 30 people who operated out of a shed at the back of the Cabarita Beach Hotel. The Membership has since grown to almost 700 Members in the 2019-2020 Season.
This includes Active Members, General Active Helping Members, Junior Members and Associate Members.
We are affiliated with Surf Life Saving Australia and aim to provide voluntary life saving services to our beaches.
Members are actively involved in preventing drowning and injury to visitors to any of our patrolled beaches.

Cabarita Beach SLSC function room is situated on the first floor of the Club’s building at Pandanus Parade, Cabarita Beach. The function room overlooks Cabarita Beach with views to the headland from the deck. The function room has an area of 120m2 internally, plus a large external deck. There is ample parking nearby as well as accommodation making this the perfect venue for functions, corporate seminars and community events. The function room area can comfortably seat approximately 80 guests. However the room itself along with the deck overlooking the beach can accommodate larger numbers for a less formal function, with a maximum capacity of 120 people. The deck is open to the elements, however, we do have pull-down all weather shades on the deck which either block or reduce the conditions. These are also transparent, so you can still see the beautiful view whilst being protected from the wind, rain, heat & cold.
