Gifts of all sizes make a critical difference in funding the growth of the club. A gift in Will is a perfect way to ensure that your legacy lives on and you continue to contribute to those things that are most important to you, giving hope to future generations.

You will be kept up to date with club activities. You will also be extended invitations to attend Club events, to meet our patrols and to tour our operations so that you can learn more about the impact of your generous support in contributing to our lifesaving operations.
How do I leave a gift in my Will?
Leaving a gift in your Will is a big decision and we suggest that this is something that you’re best to discuss and arrange with your Solicitor or Estate planner. If you don’t currently have a Will, a Solicitor can help you to draft one to ensure that your wishes are reflected.
Making a Will need not be complicated. In many cases it is very straightforward. Before preparing your Will, it’s important to ensure that you have thought about your wishes so that assets and a lifetime of hard work are directed to people and organisations that reflect your values and that are important to you.
Your Will doesn’t need to be complicated. It should simply reflect your wishes, what you want to be remembered for, and what’s important to you. In making a Will, the most important people you should consider first are your loved ones.

What type of gift would you like to leave in your Will?
There are a range of options available to you in making a gift in your Will.
These options include:
A Percentage Gift This type of gift enables you to leave a percentage of your Estate to Cabarita Beach SLSC Inc. and others listed in your Will up to 100%.
A Residual Gift With this type of gift, Cabarita Beach SLSC Inc. receives the balance of your Estate after those specifically named in your Will have been provided for.
A Pecuniary Gift This type of gift is a fixed sum of money that you specify you would like to be provided to the club.
A Specific Gift This type of gift enables you to leave a specific cash amount or other assets such as shares or particulars to the club.
Suggested wording for your Will
Your solicitor will help you with the wording of your Will. The wording below is a simple example that might help you specify your gift:
“I give to Cabarita Beach SLSC Inc. of 7 Pandanus Parade, Cabarita Beach, NSW, 2489 ABN 44 811 676 474 (a percentage), or (a specific sum or piece of property), or (my whole estate) or (the residue of my estate) free from all duties to be used for the general purposes of lifesaving operations to be conducted by Cabarita Beach SLSC Inc. or for the purposes of (specify the exact purpose – lifesaving/prize/award/competition/training) conducted at Cabarita Beach SLSC Inc. A receipt from an authorised representative of Cabarita Beach SLSC Inc. to my executor shall be considered acknowledgement for the payment of such benefit.”

It simply helps us to be aware of your support, to plan our services into the future and to ensure that we can help ensure your wishes are upheld.
